Binaural Beats Brainwave Entrainment For Astral Projection

in Astral Projection

Astral projection, also known as astral travel or out of body experience (OOBE), is the experience of the consciousness when it separates from the physical body and enters the astral plane. The astral plane is an area of reality that is parallel to the physical one and which offer different possibilities than what we are accustomed to in our daily lives. For example, one can go through walls, fly around and communicate with various beings. The experience may be closely related to the physical environment or it may bring the individuals in further realms that have little rapport with the physical one.

During these occurrences, the physical body is asleep but the mind or consciousness of the individual is awake. Compared to our usual state, it is an altered state of consciousness. Scientifically, it has been established that during such experiences our brainwaves are very slow and calm (theta range – 4 to 8 Hz) compared to when we are awake and active (beta range – 12 to 30 Hz).

Some of these experiences happen spontaneously while others are the result of deliberate training to consciously induce them. The ability to self-induce this altered state is usually very hard to master. Many who profess to have achieved astral projection are using binaural beats (a form of brainwave entrainment meditation technology) – which is a method to bring about altered states of consciousness through sounds.

Binaural beats consist of two different sound frequencies simultaneously relayed to each ear using headphones. As the brain interprets the 2 sounds frequencies, it reacts by creating a third tone of its own that corresponds to the difference between the two original sound waves.

In other words, scientists and physiologists have found that by supplying each ear with a different frequency the brain will produce a frequency equal to the difference between the frequencies. For example, 300 Hz into one ear and 307 Hz into the other and the brain produces a frequency of 7 Hz, which is what the brain frequency measures when a person is in deep meditation. A binaural beats recording made for astral projection would have the brain generate theta frequencies to bring about a state of mind close to what it would be during an OOBE.

Proponents of out of body experiences and astral projection beginners are using stereo headsets and commercially available binaural beats MP3s to assist their brain in reaching a deep meditation frequency from which they report being able to attain astral projection. Simply listening to binaural beats input will not allow you to astral project. The intention and the willingness of the person combined with their ability to focus and relax is also necessary to reach the goal of astral projection.
