The cobalt steel is a high-speed steel drill bit, which can retain the hardness even at higher temperatures. The bits can be used to drill stainless steel and other harder materials.
Having the right tools makes all the difference. Before feeding the drill on to the material, the bit should be checked for sharpness. Dull bits can put unnecessary wear and tear on the drill.
