Nashville Wedding and Reception | Guide to Finding the Best Locations

in Wedding Planning & Gifts

If you are looking for a wedding site for a Nashville wedding, here are a few ideas to help you find a place that is popular and will make your day even more special in many ways.

If you are originally from Nashville (and there don’t seem to be many native Nashvillians anymore), there may be place or area where you have fond memories. Maybe it’s Centennial Park, and that’s a place where your family often visited. Many couples do get married at the Sunken Garden there.

A good wedding planner in Nashville will have multiple ideas for you, including great options for a wedding and reception site. Just give them some idea of the size and scope of your wedding, and they will immediately have several to suggest to you.

Think about the time of the year you want to get married. That will have something to do with your choice of wedding site. Some sites are suited well to outdoor and others are more indoor wedding locations. Of course, a number of sites have options for both.

You should decide if you absolutely want to have both the ceremony and the reception in the same location, or if it doesn’t really matter. This will influence your decision on wedding venue selection. You may really love a venue for the ceremony but really like another place for the reception dinner. In other words, you may fall in love with two places.

How many people will be attending? Some places are a bit small for huge weddings. On the other hand, you’ll want to avoid choosing a place that is too large and overwhelms your guests.

Six, think about your guests. Where will they be coming from and how hard will it be for them to get to a certain site. Will they get lost in the busy streets of downtown Nashville if your wedding is there? Or, if you have chosen a country site miles out of the city, could there be a similar problem? You also want to ensure there are hotels close by, so that your out of town guests are not inconvenienced.

There’s a lot to think about, but choosing the best Nashville wedding reception venues and ceremony locations is very important to having a spectacular celebration for you and all your friends and family.
