Key Features
These new models share a flat-edge design reminiscent of the iPhone 14 Pro series, but the introduction of a new aluminum frame makes them notably lighter. In fact, Apple claims that these are the lightest iPhones ever. Available in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch sizes, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a titanium design—a first for iPhones. This premium alloy, also used in spacecraft, offers one of the highest strength-to-weight ratios of any metal. Both models showcase refined brush textures, contoured edges, and the slimmest borders seen on an iPhone.
These latest iPhones are also powered by Apple's latest A17 Pro Bionic chip, carefully designed for efficiency and performance. Users can expect faster app launches, smoother multitasking, and improved energy efficiency. Additionally, the devices come with a Type-C port now supporting USB 3 for faster data transfer speeds.
The camera system is a standout feature, boasting the equivalent of seven professional lenses, all empowered by the A17 Pro chip. Advanced computational photography and AI algorithms promise superior low-light photography, enhanced image stabilization, and refined depth-of-field effects.
Users can seamlessly switch between three popular focal lengths—24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm—or select a preferred default. In addition to 48MP ProRAW, the Main camera also supports 48 MP HEIF images, offering four times more resolution. The iPhone 15 Pro boasts a 3x Telephoto camera, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max presents the longest optical zoom ever on an iPhone—5x at 120 mm.
Both models will ship with iOS 17, introduce a range of new features and enhancements.
